Alqualondë

(Q. 'Swanhaven')

The city-haven of the Teleri in Eldamar, built by Olwe with the help fo Finwe on YT 116. It was built with marble and pearls on the eastern shores of Aman and a bit northeast of the Calacirya, and Olwe, King of the Teleri was its lord. A great natural arch was the entrance for the swan-ships that entered there. Alqualonde was marred by blood when Feanor demanded the Falmari to join them to the Exile. The Falmari refused, and Feanor attempted to steal their swan-ships by force, and this resulted to the Battle of Alqualonde and the First Kinslaying.

It was called Swanhaven or simply the Haven.
