Gongs

Evil beings, obscurely related to Orcs.

Gongs only seems to have been a part of the various peoples in the early stages of Tolkien's writing. At an early stage, the Gongs were the ones that sacked Linwë's (Thingol's) halls, and they were also mentioned among the participants in the Battle of Rôs.
