Turgon

King of Gondolin.

Turgon, the second son of Fingolfin, born in the Blessed Realm of Valinor. He marched in the host of his father during the Noldor's flight to Middle-earth, losing his wife Elenwë during the crossing of the Helcaraxë.

Turgon dwelt first in the halls of Vinyamar in the shadow of MountTaras, before founding the hidden city of Gondolin in the Vale of Tumladen. Accounted High-king of the Noldor after his brother Fingon's death, he was the father of Idril Cerebrindal and wielder of the sword Glamdring. Turgon died in the Fall of Gondolin.
