Aredhel
(redirection from Ar-Feiniel)

Also called Ar-Feiniel, the "White Lady of the Noldor" and the "White Lady of Gondolin".

Daughter of Fingolfin. She came with the host of the Noldor to Middle-earth. She lived in the Hidden Kindom of Gondolin with her brother Turgon.

When she tired of the City she got an escort to take her to Fingon in Hithlum. She instead took the escort to the east to see the Sons of Fëanor, with whom she was friends. As they entered Nan Dungortheb they lost control of their horses and Aredhel was seperated form her escort and was lost to them.

Aredhel found her way through Nan Dungortheb and carried on alone and found her way to the people of Celegorm where she stay for a while. Later as she was riding she became ensnared in {Nan Elmoth}? where she met Eöl, the Dark Elf.

There Eöl and Aredhel married. and live alone at {Nan Elmoth}?.

In time, Aredhel gave birth to a son, Maeglin, who she called Lómion in her heart.
