Battle of Dale

One of the last battles in the War of the Ring fought in Dale and Erebor during March III 3019 between Sauron's forces and the Men of Dale and the Dwarves of Erebor. Brand and Dáin II both perished in the battle and their forces took refuge in the LonelyMountain. Their sons, Bard II and Thorin III, were able to lead their troops in the eventual defeat of Sauron's army.
