Calaquendi

Quenya: light-elves

The Elves of the Light, those of the Eldar who finished the GreatJourney, reached Valinor and saw the light of the TwoTrees: The Vanyar, the Noldor and many of the Teleri (those called Falmari).

The only Elf of the others who was counted among them, was Elwë, who saw the ight as an ambassador, although he never completed the GreatJourney to return.

The Sindarin form was Calbin, and the Telerin form Calapendi.
