Dark Years

The largest portion of the SecondAge, more accurately beginning from the 1000st year, when Sauron moved to Mordor. Afterwards Sauron built Barad-dûr, forged the One Ring, made the Nazgûl, and won the {War between Elves and Sauron}. During that time he conquered major portions of Middle-earth and enslaved or corrupted many peoples.

Sauron's dominion endend with his defeat by the LastAlliance.
