Dior

Name Dior Aranel. Son of Tinúviel and Beren, Thingol's heir. Father of {Elwing the White}?. Came to Doriath from Ossiriand (where Beren and Lúthien dwelt) after the death of Thingol, and received the Silmaril, set in the Nauglamir, after the death of Beren and Lúthien. He was slain in Menegroth by the sons of Fëanor after refusing to surrender the Silmaril to them. Despite this, the Silmaril was saved by his daughter Elwing, and by its power Eärendil came to Valinor.
