Isildur

A Dúnedain, son of Elendil, Father of Valandil. Together with his brother Anárion he ruled Gondor, was Lord of Ithilien and founder of MinasIthil. In the final battle against Sauron in the SecondAge he cut Sauron's finger off, claimed the OneRing and refused to destroy it. Shortly after the disaster at the GladdenFields he tried to escape swimming through Anduin, while being invisible, but when the ring slipped off his finger he was killed by Orcs.
