Leif Arvedui

My name is Leif, I was born in 1965 and live in Norway. My first encounter with Tolkien was in the early 1980's when I bought 'The Hobbit' by chance. After that, I was sold. Since then, I have read most of the books related to Middle-earth, and also a few of Tolkien's other fantasy-works.

I was intrigued to this community by Walter at the TTF, where I might be found by the name Arvedui. On the TolkienWikiForum, I am operating under the alter ego of Ælfwine. If you want to contact me, I can be found at

At last .... Welcome to the 40+ Club, Leif

(Now where's that Single Malt? :D)

It is still in the cupboard! Well, what is left of it actually...

And thank you very much, Walter

You're very welcome, mellon! Though, I guess I'll have to bring a bottle if I ever make it to your neck of the woods...

Oh, no! There is always Limpë available

Another year over, and still no new message in your box. There you go...

Happy Birthday, Leif (There's only one more year to go for joining the 40+ club...) -- Walter

Thank you for reminding me about that, Walter. I have already singled out the right Single Malt for the occation

Happy Birthday, Leif! -- Walter

Maybe you could use a new boat?

Yes, definately. But considering how many ages have past, perhaps I should should rather wish for Scuba-gear? A dry-suit and some warm clothes would be nice...
Hmmm, Ice-diving? Are you being serious? This spring I've been for the first time diving in water around 10°C (with a semi-dry-suit, though) and brrrr was that cold....
Serious? No! I have never felt the need for being submerged with a couple of floors of water above my head. No thanks!
I see! But you're missing something...

Can someone please tell me how to fill in the circle in the circle, so that I can mark projects as planned? I am desperate....

Never mind. I actually found out myself. I won over the programming!!!

Hey it looks great, someday I might set me up a "real" Reading List too -- Walter

Good work on the new pages, Leif. It is also possible to "redirect" pages, meaning to create an "Alias" page with a different name but pointing to the same information (e.g for pages with 2 names like Adurant and DoubleStream). For details about this redirection please see CreatingPageRedirections and {FAQ/How to make redirections work}? -- Walter

I'm giving you a lot of work ain't I. I'm learning, I'm learning. -- Leif

You have NO idea what I am causing him! Excellent work, Leif! I am trully impressed! -- LhunRoss

No, Leif and Ross, you both aren't! Actually I'm glad that you both are making yourself "comfortable" here and I'm glad when I can be of any help. -- Walter
