Here it was decided to make war on Utumno for the sake of the Firstborn; here was Melkor brought and sentenced to the fastness of Mandos for three ages; here it was decided to summon the Quendi to Valinor; here was Fëanor summoned after threatening Fingolfin; here the Valar gathered after the death of the TwoTrees; here Fëanor refused to break open the Silmarils; and here Manwë heard the proud answer of Fëanor to the Doom of Mandos.
