Túna

A green hill in the Pass of Calacirya upon which the City of Tirion was built; Túna was raised by the Eldar themselves and was no natural feature. It is said the that the Valar created the Calacirya, so that the Elves could walk under the Stars of Varda which they loved above all things. So it was that the Eldar chose that place to build their city, looking westward towards the Light of Valinor and eastward towards the Strands of Eldamar lying darkly beneath the stars.
