An A to Z guide to Tolkien's Middle-earth-related material, this third edition of Tyler's book is much more detailed and comprehensive than Robert Foster's similar Complete Guide to Middle-earth, having been published after the release of Unfinished Tales and the History of Middle-earth series. Those who found Foster's explanation for "Berúthiel" a tad unsatisfactory will relish the amount of work that has gone into this publication.
