Tumladen

Tumladen was a hidden plain encircled by the Echoriath the legacy of a vast lake that once lay cradled in the arms of the Encircling Mountains. Reached only by a passage that ran beneath the mountains, Tumladen was the ideal place for the building of a hidden refuge. This passage, known as the Dry River or the {Hidden Way}?, was delved in ages past by a subterranean stream flowing swiftly from the lake to the River Sirion in the south.

In the midst of the great plain of Tumladen stood AmonGwareth, an island ere the waters of Tumladen ran dry, now a great hill of stone standing alone in the midst of the plain. It was upon this hill that Gondolin was built.
