One of the three mariners to acompany Eärendil on his voyage to Aman(they did not actually set foot on Aman since Earendil was afraid of the wrath of the Valar). Eonwe provided a boat(Vingilot was hallowed and never used again in the same way) and the Valar a great wind, so that the three of them could return to the East.
