Some Sad News:
- On Mar 11, 2005 Karen Wynn Fonstad, freelance cartographer and author of The Atlas of Tolkiens Middle-earth died at the age of 59 of complications from breast cancer. ([1])
- On Jan 4, 2005 Humphrey Carpenter, author and editor of such renowned books as JRR Tolkien-A Biography, The Inklings, and The Letters of JRR Tolkien, died at the age of 58 of heart failure. (Amon Hen 192, pp 10-12, [2], [3])
