Tharbad

City in southern Eriador, located at the meeting of the Glanduin and the Mitheithel, where the old NorthRoad crossed the Mitheithel. Deserted after great floods which ruined most of the city.

Tharbad was a border-city between Gondor and Arnor, but it appears to have existed prior to Númenorean settlement; it may have been founded by Elves.
