Quenya: vanya...fair, light-coloured (not dark)

Those were the first of the ThreeKindreds of the Eldar who started on the GreatJourney and the first who sailed over the sea to Aman. They had golden hair and white banners, their leader was Ingwë. In Aman they first dwelt in Tirion and later they wandered in Valinor or settled on Taniquetil.

They distrusted Melkor and fought in the GreatBattle within the host of Valinor, but otherwise the remained in Valinor.
