Durin I

Durin I awoke among the Seven Fathers of the Dwarves during the FirstAge, in the caves that were to become Khazad-dûm (Moria).

He he began the building of Khazad-dûm, and he lived so long that he was known as Durin the Deathless, but he died before the ElderDays had passed, his tomb was in Khazad-dûm. He was the ancestor of DurinsFolk, the most important family of Dwarves.
