Mordor

The Land of Mordor. Land of the Dark Lord, Sauron.

If Tolkien's era had known ring caldera, Mordor would be one. It is a ring of mountain ranges around a central plateau, pierced to the northwest by a great pass. The mountains, plateau and pass form a humongous castle; its walls, its keep, and its gate.

In the middle of the keep are the castle's tower, Barad-dûr, and its forge, {Mount Doom}?.

To the south is a sad land-locked sea, Nurnen, where Sauron lets enough light and rain thru for slaves to work fields - the castle's garden.
