Metal, light and hard, only found in Khazad-dûm. During the ThirdAge the Dwarves had delved so deep that they awakened a Balrog. No more Mithril could be produced since then, at the end of the ThirdAge it had become the most precious metal in Middle-earth and practically priceless.

Also called Moria-silver and true-silver.
