The three elven Rings of Power, forged by Celebrimbor in Eregion during the SecondAge:
Comments | |
An interesting parallel can be drawn between the three rings and the final disposition of the Silmarils:
''The Silmaril set in The Necklace of the Dwarves rests in the air of the heavens upon the brow of Eärendil.
Maedhros threw himself and the Silmaril he bore into a chasm of fire.
Maglor threw his jewel into the sea.''
Does anyone have further information supporting/disproving the stones of the three rings being in fact, the Silmarils?- - JamesGray
Hmmm... I really don't think the stones on the Rings were the Silmarilli.
But... Why don't we put this issue onto a discussion in the TolkienWikiForum?
